Yoga

Yoga means "union".  Union of body, breath and mind helps us to balance ourselves and achieve inner harmony.  Regular practice has the power to keep us physically strong and flexible while fueling us with a rich energy.   Powers of relaxation are enhanced and stress levels drop significantly for the practitioner.
I completed a yoga teacher training course in October 2009 at the Ananda Yoga Centre in Kathmandu, Nepal.  This centre focused on Bihar yoga (Satyananda).  In addition to this I have practiced Hatha yoga for 8 years, in Scotland and in South Korea.

Various techniques will be used to channel energies and promote a healthier body and mind.

A variety of asanas (postures) will be practiced as well as pranayama (breathing exercises) and yoga nidra (deep relaxation/psychic sleep).  There will be an introduction to shatkarma (cleansing techniques), meditation and mantra as the sessions progress.

A range of classes will be available to suit different levels.

*  A drop-in session costs £5
*  A block booking of 10 sessions costs £45

All classes last for one hour unless otherwise arranged.
